Finding Dory is cute and adorable but doesn’t quite live up to the standard of the first movie. While it tugs at your heart seeing the pain behind Dory’s cheery nature, the moments outside of cute childhood flashbacks failed to suck in this viewer
There are laughs to be had, and tears to well up, but overall this one feels kind of middle of the road when compared to other Pixar titles. Or maybe I just really didn’t like the talking whale scenes. But I am here for the octopus
But there’s nothing wrong with another gorgeously animated movie about the importance of family, both the one we are born with and the one we make along the way. So that’s why Finding Dory gets a “good” from me. Plus look at this adorably cute animated fish I mean c’mon
Also failed to mention that the voice cast in this movie is pretty darn great. And the sea lions bit was the best laugh of the movie. Idris is one of those sea lions
