Sonic the Hedgehog is a silly fun time that delivers exactly what you’d expect. Good visuals, lotta heart, lessons for the kids, puns that miss, puns that hit but it all comes together nicely for a two-hour romp.
A special shout to Idris Elba who’s voice performance breathes delightful life into beloved character Knuckles the Echidna. Easily the most enjoyable character for this sentient corn.
That’s not a knock on the other new comer Colleen O'Shaughnessey who has the absolute perfect voice for the young Miles “Tails” Prower.
Some jokes were cringe, some jokes were flat, some jokes were about Nu Metal band Limp Bizkit (okay one joke) but most jokes hit. It’s light and fun and enjoyable Go to the theatre and have fun
