White Christmas (1954)🌽🌽🌽

This Christmas classic is full of 1950’s camp and charm but also it’s fair share of flaws landing it right in the middle. But an overall solid holiday musical that unfortunately drags just a bit

Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye have incredible onscreen chemistry as the performing duo Wallace and Davis. A special shout to the scene in the dressing room. It’s a few minutes, no cuts back and forth dialogue with choreographed movements done to perfection

Not all the musical numbers are hits, and the movie drags after a wonderful opening. It’s a two hour runtime that frankly feels longer.

But overall the performances are all very good, most of the songs hit and the story itself is a classic heartwarming Christmas tale. It has that 50’s movie charm with quick-witty dialogue, wonderful tracking shots without a lot of cuts.

Overall, enjoyable film Merry Christmas!
