Last Night in Soho (2021) 🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽

Edgar Wright delivers once again in this visual masterpiece and from start to finish thrill ride. Last Night and Soho sucks you in with a sympathetic and brilliantly-acted protagonist (Ellie played by Thomasin McKenzie) and doesn’t let go.

This film is visually stunning with some of the best cinematography of 2021, something we all have come to expect from an Edgar Wright production. The camera work and editing for the first dance sequence was enthralling.

And this movie isn’t just a feast for the eyes I was hooked in by the mystery of what was really happening in Soho. Kudos to Wright and Krysty Wilson-Cairns on an excellent screen play.

And the casting was perfect. McKenzie was wonderful especially as the dream turns to nightmare and Anya Taylor-Joy and Matt Smith as our 1960’s stars. I have nothing but positives to say about their performances

Last Night in Soho hits every mark for this ear of corn to the setting, the pacing, the direction, to the music I can’t say enough. It’s right up my alley and if you like a mystery with some thrill and a lotta bright lights this movie is for you

If not… boooo I guess.

This thriller with 60’s swing and a twist or two along the way will captivate you from start to finish. Enjoy your night in Soho…
