Midnight in Paris (2011) 🌽🌽🌽🌽🍿

Owen Wilson stars in this charming Woody Allen movie that addresses nostalgia as Wilson is transported to the 1920’s and meets his idols. A quaint story with heart and charm, this is probably my favorite Woody Allen movie

Owen Wilson delivers a pretty solid performance as writer tied in the past, with plenty of “oh wow” It’s a charming movie. But I am a huge literature nerd especially if this era so I’m admittedly biased.

Shout out to Corey Stoll for his perfect performance as Ernest Hemingway. His spot on earnest Ernest performance was the highlight of this movie.

Midnight in Paris feels like an Allen movie. His humor is all over it. But it never felt overwhelming. There was enough to look at and take in to distract us. And also, Kathy Bates brings it in everything she does and her scenes as Gertrude Stein are crucial to the story and she’s top tier as always.

It’s a very charming movie, and I’m giving it an extra half point because of my love for these authors.
